Why is Pilates good for your golf game?

Why is Pilates good for your golf game? Pilates and golf are a natural blend because all the muscles you use in golf are trained during a Pilates session. Matwork and appartus work are great for training golfers. Pilates is a form of exercise that works one if not all four of these factors at the same time: Balance, Coordination, Strength and Flexibility. Now you can see why Pilates is so beneficial to your golf game and your overall health. This is especially important for the "over 40" golfer. Pilates is beneficial to everyone regardless of their current age, physical level or gender because the exercises can be modified to an individual golfers needs. Breathing is a integral part of Pilates and your golf game. In Pilates you'll learn how to breathe deeply which activates your deep abdominal muscles and can relax you before you make that critical putt. Joseph Pilates used to say that two things are needed to do Pilates correctly, "patience and persistence", kinda just like your golf game. Always make sure your Pilates instructor has been certified by one of the well known certifing schools before you start to work with them. Four of the more well known Pilates schools are Polestar, Stott, Power and Physical Mind.
